Rachel Colvin joins the Adelphi University field hockey coaching staff for the 2017 season after a four-year career as a Panther defender.
Colvin anchored the Brown and Gold defense on the back line for four years, while her seven defensive saves ranked her second in the NE10 and in a tie for third nationally as a senior. Twice named an NFCHA Second-Team All-American, the Vernon, N.J. native was also Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year as a junior, and started all 80 games in her career for the Panthers.
She was the Northeast-10 Sport Excellence winner for field hockey and earned an NCAA Woman of the Year nomination for exceptional performance on the field and in the classroom.
Colvin graduated Adelphi with B.S. in biochemistry and is working toward a master's in education.
