Molly Cuevas enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Adelphi University field hockey team, after ending her playing career as one of the most decorated Panthers to ever wear the Brown and Gold.
The program's all-time leader in points, Cuevas tallied a total of 134 over the course of her Adelphi career. Adelphi's primary threat in the midfield, Cuevas was a creator on the Adelphi offense, and her 52 assists also rank first all-time, with her 41 goals ranking second. In three of her four years, Cuevas ranked in the top-five all-time in single-season assists, and twice in single-season goals and points. She also holds two single-game records for the Brown and Gold, having scored four goals and tallied eight points in one game in her career. She helped lead the team to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in her four years, and four NE-10 Championship berths, including a share of the regular season conference tite in 2015.
The San Jose, Calif. native graduated from Adelphi in May 2016 with a degree in sports management and is currently also pursuing a master's degree in sports management.Â
