Lucia Vigliotti

Lucia Vigliotti returns to the Adelphi sideline for her third season as an assistant coach for the Adelphi University field hockey team in 2015, after also serving as an assistant in 2012 and 2013. Her main responsibilities will be working with the goalies and defense.

A four-year member of the Panthers from 2008-11, Vigliotti owns virtually every Adelphi goalkeeping record. She holds career records for saves (294), wins (29), goals against average (1.63) and minutes played (3,689), and set the single season record with 106 saves in 2011.

Vigliotti earned a host of recognitions for her outstanding play, most notably receiving the 2009 Eastern College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year award. She also landed on the 2009 ECAC All-Star Team and Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team, and was invited to play in the 2011 NFHCA North/South All-Star Game. Vigliotti was also highly decorated for her work in the classroom and was named to the Gladiator by SGI / NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad and Division II National Academic Squad.

Vigliotti graduated from Adelphi in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics, and is pursuing a master's degree in mathematics adolescent education.
