Lena Pollich joins the Adelphi University field hockey coaching staff for the 2017 season after a four-year career as a Panther forward.
A native of Massapequa, N.Y., Pollich appeared in all 80 games in her four years, earning double NFHCA All-American status, as a junior and senior. Pollich ranked second on the team as a senior year with 27 points behind nine goals and nine assists, leading the conference in helpers, and ranked second in Division II in assists per game. For her career, Pollich ranks fourth in the team's modern era in points, third in goals and third in assists.
Pollich graduated Adelphi with a B.S. in sport management with a minor in communications and is working toward a master's in sport management with a concentration in collegiate athletic administration.
