Kaylee Deleva

Kaylee Deleva

Kaylee Deleva joins the women's field hockey staff for the 2023 season alongside her former head coach Jess Mulhern.

As a former offensive threat herself, Deleva was a key piece to developing the offensive power that Adelphi Field Hockey would later become. After Amanda Lee matched her career high in goals (13) in 2023, she would follow up in 2024 with another 11, setting the all-time program record in goals with 47.

In 2024, Adelphi ranked third across Division II in goals per game (3.21) as well as fifth in assists per game (2.16). This includes two goals with seven goals, along with a nine goal day against St. Thomas Aquinas on 10/9.

Deleva was a five year field hockey athlete for the Panthers with a long list of awards and achievements at the end of her career. She brought home NE10 Player of the Year in 2021, and was a two time NE10 First Team All Conference selection (2021, 2022.) On top of that, her play in the 2022 NE10 Tournament which saw the 'Cats raise their first conference trophy in program history was good enough to be named the NE10 All-Tournament MVP. In addition to her conference honors, Deleva was a two time Synapse Sports First Team All American (2021, 2022) as well as a selection to the NFHCA Division II Second Team All-American in 2022.

She accumulated 41 goals and nine assists throughout her playing career. Her scoring ability lands her second all-time in program history, just behind Julianne Gerbino's 42 (2008-2011.) Her 91 points also place her fifth all time in the program record book.

Deleva finished her academic career at Adelphi University in the Spring of 2022, graduating with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She is now pursuing her master's in physical education.
