Adelphi University Athletics

Kayla McKeveny joined the Adelphi University field hockey staff in 2018 as a product of the State University of New York at New Paltz. 

At SUNY New Paltz, McKeveny was a four-year member of the field hockey team, and was selected to the All-SUNYAC Team in three consecutive years. McKeveny was also selected as the SUNYAC Fall Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2016.

McKeveny gained coaching experience as a USA Field Hockey Coach for two years prior to arriving on campus, where she mentored and taught three different age groups (girls U-14, U-16, U-19) field hockey skills and leadership.

Over the past two years, McKeveny had been tutoring and student-teaching in elementary schools before earning a full-time position at Socastee Elementary School in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The 2017 graduate of New Paltz earned her degree in early childhood education, with a concentration in mathematics.
