Jackie Brown

After an illustrious playing career, Jackie Brown joined the women's field hockey staff alongside new head coach Jess Mulhern, starting in the 2022 season.

Serving as the first assistant coach in Mulhern's tenure, Brown helped lead the Brown and Gold to their first Northeast-10 Championship in program history in their inaugural coaching season. After finishing as the four seed, the Panthers took down top-seeded Saint Anselm College to host the championship game, where they defeated Pace 2-1.

In 2023 and 2024, Brown helped mentor seven all-conference players as the team would amass 19 wins and another conference tournament victory in that time span. In addition, multiple program records were set in her time as a coach, including the all-time goals mark by Amanda Lee and the all-time defensive saves mark by Kylie Peregoy.

Brown was a four year field hockey athlete for the Panthers while accomplishing many targets and accolades during her time at Adelphi University. She was a three time NE10 First Team All Conference athlete (2018, 2019, 2021), an All-ECAC First Team athlete (2018, 2019), the 2021 NE10 Sport Excellence award winner, and the 2022 NE10 Woman of the Year award winner.

She accumulated 24 goals and 31 assists during her time playing and also served as the captain of the team from 2020. In her career, she finished off with 79 points which ranks seventh all-time for the Panthers.

During her time at Adelphi, she was on the student-athlete advisory committee and was later elected to be the president in the year of 2020. She was also a member of the NE10 SAAC as a representative since 2018.

Brown finished her academic career at Adelphi University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in business administration as well.
