A mainstay on Adelphi's defensive unit for four seasons, Danielle Powers joins the field hockey coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2020-21.
Powers started 47 of the 70 career games that she appeared in from 2016-19 and helped lead a defense that ranked in the Top 5 in the NE10 in fewest goals allowed each of her last two seasons.
In 2019, the Panthers tied a single-season program record for wins with a 14-5 overall record and earned their first national ranking since 2017.
Powers also chipped in offensively throughout her time at Adelphi. She scored five goals and added three assists for 13 career points. Three of those five goals were also game-winners.
