Callie Vitalo joins the Adelphi University field hockey staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2021.
Vitalo was a member of the field hockey team at Providence College from 2011-2015, and served as a captain her sophomore year before battling with a career-ending injury. Additionally, she was a team representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years as a Friar.
Since graduating, Vitalo has become a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, as well as an integrative health coach.
Vitalo, who hails from East Northport, N.Y., currently works as a personal trainer and integrative health coach who provides lifestyle and nutrition counseling, as well as develops fitness programs for people of all ages and abilities. She is gaining further professional experience working as a coordinator for healthy schools and communities to increase access to healthy food and physical activity.
Vitalo earned her master's degree in Social Work in 2017 from Stony Brook University, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Providence College in 2015.
