- Three-time All-County honoree in cross country
- Qualified for the New York State meet in his senior year
- Two-year varsity captain
- Won the US Army National Scholar Athlete Award and the US Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award
- In track and field, qualified for the state meet in the 4x800 as a sophomore as the anchor and fastest leg
- All-County in the 1600m in winter track as a junior year
- All-Division 1600m champion in spring track as a junior, and All-Division in the 3200m in spring track as a senior
