Zach Goldstein

A former NE10 Player of the Year, Zach Goldstein recently wrapped up his third season as an assistant coach with the Adelphi University baseball team in 2021.

In his first year, Goldstein helped mentor the Panthers to a 34-9-1 record, an NE10 Southwest Division regular-season title and a No. 5 national ranking.

Most recently, Adelphi -- behind a 10-2 stretch to conclude the 2021 campaign -- topped the NE10 Southwest Division regular-season standings and earned its first trip to the NE10 Championship final since 2014.

Goldstein shined as a student-athlete at Southern New Hampshire University, where he was named the 2017 NE10 and D2CCA East Region Player of the Year and a D2CCA All-America Honorable Mention. He was also recognized to the NE10 All-Conference Team in each of his last three seasons with the Penmen, including an NE10 All-Rookie Team selection in 2013.

To date, Goldstein still holds SNHU's career records for triples, runs scored and on-base percentage, while ranking second in hits and stolen bases, third in doubles and RBi, ninth in batting average and 10th in home runs.

A native of Merrick, N.Y., Goldstein was a two-time Nassau County Class AA Champion and 2012 Long Island Class AA Champion at Calhoun High School.

In 2017, Goldstein spent a year in professional baseball, playing locally for the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
