Michael Pollak

Michael Pollak enters his first season on the Adelphi University baseball coaching staff in 2018. 

In the summer of 2017, Pollak served as site leader for the New York Yankees summer camps, managing a staff of 20 and working with 100-150 campers each week, ages 5-13. He took on the same role for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2018, helping to launch the sixth official MLB camp run by the Headfirst Company.

As a head coach, Pollak led Rye Country Day School to three straight finals, and a New York State Independent School Championship in 2015

A native of the Bronx, where he was an All-City center-fielder in high school, Pollak played college baseball at Tufts University in Medford, Mass.  

Outside of baseball, Pollak began his career working with special needs students at the Perkins School for the Blind in the Deafblind Program from 2004-09. He earned a bachelor's degree in comparative religion from Tufts in 2004, and a master's in education in 2010.
