A reliable arm that took the mound for the Panthers from 2016-19, Michael Demarest returned to Adelphi as an assistant coach with the baseball team in 2022.
In his four years toeing the rubber in Garden City, Demarest pitched to an even 4-4 record across 61 appearances with 88 strikeouts.
He was named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team in 2016, after compiling a 2.90 earned-run average in 24 relief appearances. Additionally, Demarest earned three saves along the way, which all came in successive outings.
Upon departing the program in 2019, Demarest held the positions of pitching coach at Archbishop Molloy High School, and most recently, Concordia College.
He has also spent time coaching the Long Island Titans and as a pitching instructor at 365 Athletics in Bellport.
A former member of the Adelphi and NE10 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Demarest resides in Woodside.
