Kyle Lombardo

Kyle Lombardo joined the Adelphi baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2018.

Before coming to Adelphi, Lombardo served as the hitting coach at Suffolk County Community College, where he also worked defensively with infielders and outfielders and oversaw recruiting. In 2016, the Sharks made an appearance at the NJCAA Division III College World Series. In all, Lombardo helped over 30 players over move onto four-year college programs.

Lombardo hails from St. John’s University, where he was a member of the baseball team from 2012-2014 after earning Second Team NJCAA All-Region XV honors at Suffolk. In 2012, the Red Storm won the Big East regular season and tournament titles, and appeared in the NCAA Super Regional. 

Born in Montclair, N.J. and raised in Setauket, N.Y., Lombardo was a three-year letter-winner at Ward Melville High School. He earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's in sports management from St. John's.
