James Bailin begins his first season as Adelphi's pitching coach. Bailin transfered to Adelphi from the University of Maine for the 2001 season. He had a record of 5-3 and recorded 64 strikeouts in 59.2 innings.

Bailin is on pace to graduate from Adelphi in June of 2002 with a degree in Physical Education

As a high school athlete at Levittown's Division Memorial , Bailin was awarded the Diamond Award as both a junior and senior. This award is given annually to Nassau County's top pitcher.
