Ed Jusino

Ed Jusino has served as an assistant coach with the Adelphi University baseball team since 2015.

His coaching career began in 2006 at Briarcliffe College, where he was named the program's head softball coach and led the team to a playoff appearance in each of his four years at the helm. Jusino then went on to become the head baseball coach at Briarcliffe in 2011 and won a national championship.

Jusino, who served as a teacher within the New York City Department of Education system for 33 years, played collegiately for New York University.

He coached baseball in the East Meadow Little League and softball for Fire and Ice, with whom he won a national championship in 1996.

Additionally, Jusino continued playing baseball and became player-manager of the Long Island Athletics of the Men's Senior Baseball League. He was inducted into the MSBL Long Island Hall of Fame in 2007 and earned a selection to the MSBL National Hall of Fame in 2009.

He recently celebrated 50 years of marriage to his childhood sweetheart and is the father of three, including Adelphi Hall of Fame softball player Lisa Jusino, who serves as head softball coach at St. Joseph’s College-Long Island, where she was named the Skyline Conference Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2019.
