Conor Burke starts his first season as an assistant coach on the Adelphi University baseball coaching staff, working with infielders and outfielders.
Burke arrives at Adelphi after spending the 2013-14 year as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Concordia College after spending the previous year at Queens College as an assistant. At both institutions, he helped organize practices and throw batting practice while also assisting with fundraising, clinics, recruiting and budgeting.
Additionally, Burke has been an assistant coach and national recruiting coordinator for the Bayside Yankees since the beginning of 2012. Putting in time as a first and third base coach during the season, he has also supervised winter workouts and practices, throw batting practice, and work with the pitching staff, catchers, and outfielders among other duties.
Burke earned his Associates in Liberal Arts from Suffolk Community College before graduating from Queens College in 2012 with a Media Studies degree. At Suffolk, he played infield and captained his team to a NJCAA World Series appearance. He was also named captain at Queens.
