Adelphi University Athletics

Ryan Boelsen is entering his second season as an assistant coach with Adelphi.

Boelsen, a three-year member of the Adelphi baseball team, finished his 2009 campaign as the team leader in hits (66), doubles (13) and runs batted in (39). He was also ranked second on the team in batting average (.361) and at-bats (183). For his efforts, he was recognized as a first-team all-conference selection and an ABCA and NCBWA second-team all-region pick. He was also voted the Adelphi Baseball team MVP.

In addition, he signed a professional contract with the Sussex Skyhawks of the Can-Am League. The teams of the Can-Am League are based out of both Canada and the United States, with many players going on to sign with Major League baseball teams.
