Was a part of three new records at the NE10 Championships, including two individual marks in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events, and with the 200-yard medley relay
With a time of 2:09.0 3 in the 200 breaststroke, Wheeler broke a 14-year school mark set by Charles Castillo in 2005
Helped break an eight-year-old school record in the 400-yard medley relay in a new time of 3:31.85 at the ECAC Spring Championships (3/1-3/3)
Helped the 200-yard medley relay finish first vs. Baruch in a time of 1:44.77 (11/8)
Won three events in a dual meet at New Paltz, individually in the 50-yard and 100-yard breaststroke and with the 600-yard medley relay (11/10)

2017-18

Made his collegiate debut in a pair of breaststroke events (100 and 200) vs. Pace, placing second and third (11/4)
Also clocked in a pair of second-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard IM in tri-meet vs. Queens and Baruch (11/9)
Placed fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke at the USMMA Invitational (11/18)
Recorded a pair of sixth-place finishes in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events at the NE10 Championships (2/9-2/11)

At East Lyme

All-Eastern Connecticut Conference selection in swimming by both the Norwich Bulletin and The Day
Team MVP for the 2016-2017 high school season and team captain
Top 5 finisher in the 100 breaststroke for CIAC Class-M Swimming Championships
Graduated holding the school record in the 100-yard breaststroke event
