2011: Named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team and American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II All-Region Team ... appeared in 99 sets and was one of three players to play in all 31 matches ... led the team with a .235 attack percentage, good for ninth in the NE-10 ... had second-most kills (232), kills per set (2.34) and blocks (58) on the team ... had at least 10 kills in 10 matches ... recorded a season-best 15 kills in a 3-2 win at Saint Michael's on 11/5 ... strung together four straight matches with at least 10 kills, averaging 11.5 kills per match during a 3-1 stretch for Adelphi (10/8-10/14).

2010: Played in 115 sets and 32 matches...finished first on the team with 58 blocks...recorded 203 kills, eight assists, 10 service aces, and 69 digs...had a season-high five blocks twice (9/22 and 9/25)...registered a season-high 15 kills in a 3-2 win over Stonehill on 9/3.

2009: Played in 118 games and 36 matches...finished fourth on the team with 239 kills and second on the team with 66 blocks...also recorded 45 digs...set a career-high with 16 kills against Bentley (10/16)...posted a career-best six blocks versus UMass Lowell (10/30).

2008: Played in 116 games and 35 matches...recorded 160 kills and 51 digs...second on the team in blocks with 69...set career highs in kills (13) against Bridgeport (11/6), digs (7) against Limestone (8/29), blocks (5) against NYIT (9/11) and Southern Connecticut (11/1).

At Bellport High School: Played four years of volleyball...League IV Rookie of the Year, All-County for three years, participated in the Junior Olympics her junior year, League IV Player of the Year and team captain her senior year...member of the Spanish Honor Society.

Personal: Daughter of Vinton Simms and Berkys Ruiz...majoring in education...has three siblings, Priscilla, Berny and Ernest.
