2010-11: Placed fifth in the 100 breaststroke at the Kings Point Invite (11/22)...placed second in the 200 freestyle relay against USMMA (1/13)...took first-place in the 100 breaststroke versus Pace (1/14)...placed eighth in the 200 freestyle relay at the NE-10 Championships (2/5)...placed 12th in the 400 medley relay and 13th in the 200 medley relay at the MET Championships (2/21).
2009-2010: Finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke against Montclair State (11/7)...was on the seventh-place 200 freestyle relay team at the Northeast-10 Invitational (12/6)...was a member of the 12th-place 400 freestyle relay team at the Metropolitan Championships (2/21).
At John F. Kennedy: Participated in varsity swimming for six years, was All-Conference, two-time All-County, and during her senior year was named the captain, MVP and earned the Coach[apos]s Award...played five years of varsity softball...earned All-Conference and All-Division honors and was the Captain her senior year...an Honor Roll student and was on the National Honor Society...part of Athletes Helping Athletes, a T.O.H. Lifeguard, and played on the BP Allstars Travel Softball team.
Personal: Daughter of Rick and Fran Calia...majoring in elementary education...enjoys swimming, softball, shopping and going to the beach...plans on being a Special Education Elementary School Teacher...has an older sister, Angela, who swims for Pace University, and two younger siblings, Ricky and Gabriella.
