North Attleboro, Mass. — With new head coach Chris Megaloudis at the helm, the Adelphi men's soccer team, receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll,  has been picked to finish fourth in the Northeast 10 Coaches' Preseason Poll, announced Wednesday.

The 2025 campaign was a successful one for the Panthers, as they finished with a 9-6-4 record, were ranked as high as No. 23 nationally and earned their first NCAA Tournament berth since 2022.

Adelphi was picked behind last year's national semifinalist Southern New Hampshire (79 points), NE10 finalist Bentley (70 points) and NE10 champion Franklin Pierce (69 points), with 57 points, eight ahead of fifth-place Southern Connecticut State

After the departure of key pieces and All-NE10 selections Rory Duggan, Sam Nolan, Lucas Nicolaou and Ryan Holt, the Panthers will rely on returning playmakers Matthew Murphy, Agustin Soldo, Arik Landau and Peter Agelis, among other returners and many new faces. Joseph Blackton will once again solidify the Panther back line, with Andrea Farinella between the pipes.

Megaloudis and the Cats open their season at Motamed Field against Wilmington (Del.) on Thursday, August 27, as part of the Adelphi Kick-Off Tournament. Start time is set for 7 p.m.
