North Attleboro, Mass. — After a 2-1 week and an important conference win over Saint Michael's on Saturday morning, the Adelphi women's tennis team firmly sits in first place in the Northeast 10. A key cog in the successful week was Zuzanna Witkowska, who has been named the NE10 Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Witkowska was undefeated as Adelphi's No. 2 across three matches, defeating Jefferson's Alycia Veroux 6-1, 6-3, Wilmington's Siana MacDonald 6-4, 6-3 and Saint Michael's Olivia Larsen 6-0, 6-2.
The Warsaw, Poland native is now 12-6 in singles play this season and looks to carry a four-match win streak into postseason play after today's match with Bentley.
