Women’s Golf Dominates Match Play vs. Hofstra

Inwood, N.Y. – Adelphi University's women's golf team enjoyed a dominant showing in match play on Friday afternoon against Hofstra University.

The Panthers won six of their seven matchups against the Division I program at Inwood Country Club, led by Ivory Drusch, who won her match by six holes with five holes still left to play.

Drusch continued her streak of spectacular play after a third-place finish at the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational a week and a half ago.

The next-largest margin of victory came from the seven-seed, as Alyssa Sul won her match by five holes with four holes remaining.

The five- and six-seeds, Filippa Schulze Doering and Cat Slade, each won their matchups, with both golfers finishing five-over on the day. Schulze Doering won her match by two holes with one left to play, while Slade won by four holes with three holes remaining.

In the top spot, Nikola Truhlarova also finished five-over through 13 holes of play, winning her match by three holes with two holes left to play.

The Panthers' final victory came from three-seed Jenny Kim, who won her match by two holes with two left to play after shooting seven-over.

The Panthers return to action on Saturday, April 4, when they compete in the Millersville Women's Invitational. The one-day tournament will take place at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club in Millersville.
