West Chester, Pa. - Amidst harsh weather in the Keystone State, the Adelphi University women's golf team took home a fourth place finish at the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational earlier this week, hosted by West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
The team tallied an overall score of 123-over 691 across two days of action. Ahead of the 'Cats in the final standings in ascending order were host West Chester, University of New Haven, and champion Franklin Pierce University. Below them were Jefferson and Shepherd University.
Sophomore
Jenny Kim notched another top ten finish, sliding in at ninth after tying for the second-best round on Tuesday with an 11-over 82.
Lauren Jaskier and
Ivory Drusch tied for 13th at 31-over 173 across both days. Jaskier's consistency took her to that position while Drusch leveraged a stronger opening round.
Filippa Schulze Doering also came out hot with a 12-over 83 to stay within the top half, but leveled off on the next set of 18 to net a top 20 finish.
Cat Slade rounded out the Panther scorecard with a 189, respectively.
Head Coach
Bill Bresnan and Adelphi will be back in action when they host the third annual Battle at the Bay, held at Middle Bay Golf Club in Oceanside, N.Y.. First round action will start on Monday, April 21 with the final round on Tuesday, April 22.
