No. 5 Men's Lax Holds Franklin Pierce to Single Goal, Wins 22-1 in Regular Season Finale

Rindge, NH - Capping off the regular season on a high note, the no. 5 Adelphi University men's lacrosse program cruised to a 22-1 victory against Franklin Pierce on Saturday, at Sodexo Field.

Noah Gibson and Braden Donnellan led the offense as the duo combined for 17 points - Gibson tallied seven goals, while Donnellan chipped in eight assists. William Greaves shined once again at X, putting up a 10-for-15 performance with seven ground balls. 

A trio of goals started the Panther offense with a pair coming from Kyle Lewis before the home team got on the board. Franklin Pierce (2-10, 1-7 NE10) put up its lone score at 7:08 in the and it was all Adelphi for the remainder of the contest. 

After putting up five more before the first quarter expired, the visitors added another 10, with half coming courtesy of Gibson. The Ravens weren't without offensive possessions however, as Renner logged five saves on all five shots taken by the home team. The hosts were also plagued with a flurry of turnovers, accumulating 24 in the loss. 

Adelphi added a pair of goals in each of the final two frames with back-to-back from Ryan Woodland to conclude the contest. 

The bracket for the Northeast-10 Conference tournament will be released later this evening. Currently Saint Anselm, Adelphi and Pace are at the top, with the pair taking on each other this afternoon. A six-team tournament, the top two programs will receive a first round bye (Apr. 26) and play in the semifinal round on Apr. 30 at the higher seed.
