Waltham, Mass. - By virtue of a 147-90 victory against Assumption University on Saturday, the Adelphi University men's swimming and diving program capped an undefeated regular season in dual meet action.
This marks the first perfect season in Head Coach
Marc Danin's tenure for the men's program, who posted its best finish in NE10 Championship history a season ago, when the team took third. The Panthers put up notable wins this year over reigning NE10 champion Southern Connecticut as well as Bentley and the Greyhounds.
Saturday was highlighted by:
- Wins in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay events;
- eight individual wins in contested events;
- and top swims by three different freshmen.
The Cat's currently hold 13 of the top individual times from the regular season in the NE10 rankings, as well as five of the best relay times. On the diving board,
Tyler Romero posts the highest point total in the one-meter event.Â
Adelphi will spend the next several weeks preparing for the NE10 Championship, scheduled to begin Thursday, Feb. 13 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute Sports & Recreation Center.
