Garden City, N.Y. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi women's tennis team looked to bounce back after a close defeat to New Haven earlier this week when they took on Bentley Saturday.
The Panthers set the tone early when the number one doubles team of Katarina Liedbeck and Zuzanna Witkowski won their match quickly by a score of 6-1.
This would spark the Brown and Gold as they went on to not lose a single set throughout the entire day.
Roisin Boyd and Caterina Federici played a closer match than their teammates but still came through with a 6-4 victory.
Sara Lindeman and Genesis Beltran would put away Bentley's threes with ease, winning the match 6-2.
In singles play, the Panthers were as dominant as they could be, sweeping all six matches.
Liedbeck defeated Maria Mella 6-0, 6-3.
Witkowska only dropped one game in a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
Boyd cruised through her match with a 6-0, 6-2 win.
Federici grabbed her second singles victory of the season, 6-2, 6-3.
Sara Lindeman played very well, winning her match 6-2, 6-0.
Genesis Beltran was lights out, not losing a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
The Panthers return to the court on Tuesday when they take on Franklin Pierce.
