Staten Island, N.Y. - In its final non-conference game of 2024, the Adelphi University baseball team fell 9-1 at the hands of College of Staten Island Tuesday at the CSI Baseball Complex in Staten Island.
The Panthers (21-21) got plenty of arms work in the afternoon tilt, sending a total of eight arms to the hill.
Senior pitcher
Steven Proko worked a perfect first as the team's opener, and
Tommy O'Sullivan and
Jonathan Fallacaro each added a scoreless inning of relief later on.
CSI (13-27) strung together three consecutive run-scoring plays in the home second to break the ice, and never looked back.
Snapping an eleven-game slide, the Dolphins scored in four consecutive innings against Adelphi pitching, building up an eventual 7-0 cushion.

Erick Duignan on four pitches to strand two runners in scoring position in what was then a 6-0 game.

The Panthers will travel to Albany to meet The College of Saint Rose one final time, in a three-game set to cap off the regular season. A doubleheader will kick off the series on Friday (May 3) at 12 noon.
