Mansfield, Mass. - With a three-way tie jamming up the top half of the bracket, the Adelphi University volleyball program was selected as the four-seed ahead of the 2024 Northeast-10 Conference volleyball tournament, slated to begin on Tuesday.
Adelphi, Bentley & New Haven were all 1-1 within their mini-conference and the tie could not be broken by comparing results against the highest seeded teams, as all teams lost to AIC and won versus all other teams. The tie was broken via a random draw for all three positions.
American International returned to the top of conference following an undefeated regular season record. In the event they advance past Tuesday's quarterfinal round, the Yellow Jackets remain as the host for the semis and finals, scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Nov. 22-23.
The Panthers will take on Pace University, who earned the five-seed by way of an even 5-5 record in league play. Game time on Tuesday, Nov. 19 is set for 6:00 p.m. In early October, the Setters came to Garden City and suffered a three-set sweep. Adelphi's
Noelle Alberda was the offensive leader that night, accounting for 14 kills.
Admission to all rounds of NE10 fall championships is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children -
tickets can be purchased ahead of time here. Current NE10 students (with valid ID) will be admitted free of charge.
