West Haven, Conn. - What would have made eight straight victories, turned into a win-streak snapped as the Adelphi University volleyball team suffered a four-set loss to the University of New Haven on Tuesday evening, inside Charger Gymnasium. 

The rematch of the 2023 Northeast-10 Conference Championship proved electric as the teams traded victories in the first two sets, with the hosts prevailing in sets three and four to earn the win. The loss likely shifts the 'Cats (16-8, 5-2 NE10) down in the standings, with three more regular season games to play. 

Game Notes:

• Emilia Cascapera and Noelle Alberda both chipped in 13 kills apiece, combining for five block assists. 
• Kambel Fiser had 39 assists, which ranks seventh in her four-set matches this season (season-best stands at 53 - vs. Bridgeport).
• Macarty McQueen notched her third double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs. 
• Adelphi held the advantage in blocks (10) over New Haven (5), but fell short in aces, points and kills. 
• The Chargers were led on offense by Katherine Rank, who collected 17 kills with a .438 hitting percentage.

The Panthers will have the weekend off and return to play non-conference action against Bloomfield College on Monday, November 4.
