Garden City, N.Y. - Thinking of whether to attend the women's soccer game or volleyball match next Wednesday? Let us entice you to attend both!

As a kickoff to the fall semester, the Adelphi University Department of Athletics is inviting all students to attend Welcome Back Night on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

The promotion will run in conjunction with both home games on campus that night, beginning at 5 p.m. First, the Adelphi women's volleyball team will host their home opener against Holy Family University inside the Center for Recreation and Sport.

An hour later, the action will move outside to Motamed Field, where the Adelphi women's soccer team will square off with Holy Family at 6 p.m.

Need a break from all the raucous energy? Many of Adelphi's corporate sponsors will be on-site -- including Moe's Southwest Grill, Baya Bar and AVO TACO -- to distribute free food samples and giveaways throughout the evening.

The Adelphi University Bookstore and Center for Student Engagement will also be organizing raffles for all students in attendance. Tables will be set up along rhe outside corridor between Motamed Field and the CRS.

Be sure to stick around for both games to be a part of the scheduled in-game contests and promotions, especially our t-shirt launch at halftime of the Adelphi women's soccer game.
