Garden City, N.Y. - After coming off a perfect 10-0 regular season conference record last year, the Adelphi University men's lacrosse team and Head Coach
Gordon Purdie unveil their 2023 schedule.
Last season, the squad took home the Northeast-10 Championship for their first time since 2015 before falling in the NCAA quarterfinals to the same opponent, Le Moyne College.Â
The 2023 campaign starts with a two game trip down in Florida, where the Panthers will go up against Palm Beach Atlantic (Feb. 17) and Lynn (Feb. 20).Â
In the month of March, Adelphi will be on the road to start, taking on Georgian Court who they defeated 16-6 in last year's meeting.
The squad comes back to a three game home stand where they will kick off conference play against American International (Mar. 4) and Southern New Hampshire on Mar. 18. As March comes near a close, the Brown and Gold travel for two games before coming back to play at Motamed Field and celebrate Alumni Day versus Assumption on Apr. 1.Â
April consists of eight matchups with six conference contests featuring the last two home games against Bentley which will take place on Apr. 22 and will also be Senior Day.Â
The last game of the regular season will be against Le Moyne (Apr. 25) in a rematch of last year's NE10 Championship and NCAA Quarterfinals.
Adelphi was ranked fifth in the preseason installment of the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division II poll, revealed earlier this month.Â
Quarterfinal action for the NE10 Championship will start off on Saturday, Apr. 29 with the finals taking place on Saturday, May 6. NCAA tournament play will begin four days after, with first round action taking place on Wednesday, May 10. Selections will be announced on Sunday, May 7 at ncaa.com.
