Denver, Colo. - The Adelphi University softball team was eliminated from the Division II Softball Championships after a 8-1 decision against No. 6 Seton Hill on Friday night at the Regency Athletic Complex in Denver.
After winning the East 1 Region and East Super Regional after losing the first game, the Panthers (47-15) were unable to keep their season going in Denver. Adelphi was halted by Seton Hill in the first-ever match-up between the two programs.Â

Alexa Sacripante doubled in the fifth to score
Faith Camilleri who was ruled safe after review on a ground ball to second base to keep her on the bag.Â
The Griffins added three more in the bottom of the inning and two more in the sixth that the Panthers were unable to respond to.
Lindsey Hibbs and
Claire Fon shared time inside the circle and combined for four strikeouts. They forced five fly outs and seven ground outs, but it was not enough to stop the opponent.Â
