Mansfield, Mass. - After a two-win week for the Panthers, Adelphi University's field hockey junior Kylie Peregoy collected Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. 

Peregoy helped the Brown and Gold win both of their conference battles this past week including two shutouts in the process against Southern Connecticut State University and Saint Anselm.

The junior from Medford, N.Y. played a decisive role in this past weekend's conference win over no. 6 Saint Anselm. She collected a defensive save in the early parts of the second half to help prevent the Hawks from scoring in the contest.

It was the Panthers' first road win against the Hawks since 2014. 

Peregoy has two defensive saves on the season, only one behind sophomore Francesca Manzella.

Adelphi will play two Northeast-10 conference games this Wednesday (Oct. 5) n the road at Molloy University and Thursday (Oct. 6) which will be home against Southern New Hampshire University.
