Lafayette Hill, Pa. - The Adelphi University women's golf played its first round in over a calendar year on Tuesday, at the Jefferson invitational, hosted by Jefferson University at the ACE Club.

The round was only contested by two teams, after several needed to drop out due to COVID protocols.

The Panthers posted a final team score of 368, to Jefferson's 349.

On the Par 72 course, Emily McKenna and Hannah Trinh tied for third, after shooting an 88 apiece through 18 holes. McKenna birdied once and made par seven times, as Trinh trailed her teammate with five pars.

Amy McCaffrey, in her first collegiate outing, finished just four strokes off of McKenna and Trinh, with a score of 92. Sabrina Nyitray carded a 100, and closing out the Panthers' scoring was Nicole Schwartz with a 105.

The Panthers will travel to Guilderland, N.Y. on Wednesday, Apr. 14 to compete at the Saint Rose Spring Invitational at the Pinehaven Golf Club.
