Gilbert, Ariz. - Six student-athletes from the Adelphi University field hockey team were named Scholars of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Tuesday.
Junior
Alexandra Kanapes received her third-straight honor since dawning the Panther uniform, in addition to collecting three-consecutive National Academic Squad nods.Â
Fellow upperclassmanÂ
Kelsie Law appeared on the list, as she is also a two-time National Academic Squad selection.
The first-year Panthers to be recognized were graduate student

Bianca Bachisin,
Giana McKeough and
Marina Vlasto.
The Division II Scholars of Distinction honored 89 student-athletes who posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.9 or higher in the fall semester of the 2019-20 academic year.Â
This postseason, the Adelphi field hockey team earned the National Academic Team Award, in addition to having 16 of its student-athletes named to the National Academic Squad.
