Men's Hoops Locks In #2 Seed Ahead of NE10 Tournament

2/28/2020 1:20:00 PM

Garden City, N.Y. - Despite dropping the regular season finale on Tuesday to Southern Connecticut, the Adelphi University men's basketball team secured the second seed out of the Southwest Division, earning a first round bye to the Northeast-10 quarterfinals.

For a complete list of seedings and matchups in the NE10 Men's Basketball Championship, please see below.

Saint Anselm (18-8, 14-5 NE10) earned a convincing 94-55 win over Bentley in the regular season finale on Tuesday, winning the Northeast Division outright in the process. The Dolphins (19-8, 15-4 NE10) ran away with the Southwest Division, finishing the season with a four-game lead over Adelphi and Southern Connecticut (11-8 NE10). The Owls and Panthers finished with a tied record, but since Adelphi earned a win over Le Moyne during the regular season, they locked in the spot, whereas SCSU dipped to the three seed after going 0-2 against the Dolphins.

The first round of the NE10 Championship will take place on Friday in cross-division matchups between the fourth and fifth-seeded teams, while the quarterfinal round is slated for Sunday afternoon. The NE10 semifinals will be played on Wednesday, March 4, with the championship game on Saturday, March 7.

All games will be available to watch, throughout the tournament, on NE10NOW.tv. NE10 NOW is also available on Roku, Apple TV, Android TV and Amazon Fire Stick.

For fans planning to be inside the Center for Recreation and Sports on Sunday, ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children/adults and $2 for students with a valid ID. Attendees wishing to view both the men's (4:00 p.m.) and women's (2:00 p.m.) games can pay for one ticket and will get entry to both games.
