Colchester, Vt. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team snapped its winless streak to start the season in emphatic fashion on Saturday afternoon.
The Panthers (1-7, 1-3 NE10) scored a 7-0 sweep of Saint Michael's College () on the road in Northeast-10 Conference action.
Adelphi, which had lost five of six matches this spring by a 7-0 decision, flipped the script thanks to a strong start in doubles, winning all three matches.
The Panthers also claimed all six singles matches in straight sets, led by the tandem of
Sabin Adrian Saveluc and
Luke Attride-Stirling, who dropped a combined five games across four sets in the first two singles spots.Â
Adelphi will look to keep its good vibes going in its next match of the weekend at Saint Anselm College on Sunday. First serve is set for 2 p.m. in Manchester, N.H.
