Brookville, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team dominated in its lone match of the spring season.
The Panthers (11-4) beat the LIU Post Pioneers (2-8) 7-0 on Friday afternoon with the loss of just one set.
With LIU Post fielding five players, the Panthers won the doubles point with a sweep and dropped just one game in singles flights second through fifth.
Despite losing the middle set, senior
Samantha Perri closed out her career with a three-set win over Shanice Arthur at No.1 singles, 6-4, 5-7, 10-7.Â
The match also saw the debut of Adelphi freshman
Lea Baschanow, who arrived in Garden City from Germany for the spring semester.
The Salzgitter native was one of three double bagel winners for the Panthers at No.5, 6-0, 6-0.
