Mansfield, Mass.- The No. 6 Adelphi University field hockey team earned the second seed in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship as announced by the league office on Saturday.

Adelphi recorded eight shutouts in conference play, including two victories over other nationally ranked teams in Assumption and Southern New Hampshire, both ranked eighth at the time.Â
Saint Anselm grabbed the top seed ahead of Adelphi, going 13-1 in the conference. Trailing the Panthers, with the same record, was the Penmen, who were beat out for the second seed based on their scorelss loss to the Brown and Gold in late September. Stonehill and Assumption also sported matching conference records, a tie-breaker based off of Stonehill's head-to-head defeat of the Greyhounds earlier in the season. The teams will battle it out again in the first round in North Easton, Mass.Â
The final three seeds of the tournament came in at yet another regular season record tie of 7-7, which was broken down based on head to head competitions over higher seeded teams.
