Nicole Stay delivered a mammoth clinching victory for the Adelphi University women's tennis team on Saturday afternoon, outlasting Cassie Restrepo of Merrimack College to give the Panthers a 4-3 win in Northeast-10 Conference action.
The Warriors entered the match already claiming third doubles and sixth singles, with Adelphi (4-1, 3-1 NE10) only playing with five student-athletes on Saturday, and though first and second doubles played out closely, it was Adelphi which won both to claim a 1-0 lead headed to singles.

Samantha Perri rolled with the loss of just three games, while her doubles partner
Nicole Kielan lost just two games at the second flight, but two more completed singles wins for the Warriors (5-3, 5-1 NE10) ultimately set the stage for Stay's dramatic win.
