Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University volleyball team came out with a point to make Tuseday evening in the Northeast-10 Conference quarterfinals - stunning the no. 7 Golden Knights of the College of Saint Rose in three-sets.
The Panthers (26-5), now winners of eight-straight, received a "double-double" of 14 kills and 10 digs from junior outside hitter

Katarina Warburton elevated 13 Saint Rose attacks.
After the second-seeded Panthers used a 9-2 stretch to take the opener, the hosts tallied 11 of the first 13 points to cruise in the second set. Adelphi then forced Saint Rose to hit negative in the third set to complete the sweep and move to 14-1 at home this fall. Adelphi hit .314 for the quarterfinal matchup.
The win grants hosting rights to the Brown and Gold for both the semifinal and final rounds. Game times are set for Friday at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and the conference final will be played at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10 in the Center for Recreation and Sport.
