Volleyball Earns No. 2 Seed Ahead of NE10 Championship

Mansfield, Mass. - For the 10th consecutive season, the Adelphi University volleyball program has earned a berth in the Northeast-10 Conference championship, slated to start Tuesday, November 6 as released by the conference office Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers, who finished the regular season at 25-5 overall (12-2 NE10) picked up the no. 2 seed, falling just behind no. 1 New Haven, who they defeated in the regular season. 

The Chargers will get a rematch against the Hawks, the No. 8 seed in the championship, while second-ranked Adelphi will host No. 7 Saint Rose. In the other two matchups, No. 3 American International plays No. 6 Pace and No. 4 Southern Connecticut State welcomes No. 5 Southern New Hampshire. All quarterfinal matches are scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. 

Semifinals for the NE10 Volleyball Championship will be on Friday, Nov. 9, with the championship final on Saturday, Nov. 10. The highest seed remaining after Tuesday will host both the semifinals and final over the weekend. 

Below is the seeding and schedule for the 2018 NE10 Volleyball Championship.

Quarterfinals ­ at Higher Seeds
Match 1: #8 Saint Anselm at #1 New Haven (7:00 pm)
Match 2: #7 Saint Rose at #2 Adelphi (7:00 pm)
Match 3: #6 Pace at #3 American International (7:00 pm)
Match 4: #5 Southern New Hampshire at #4 Southern Connecticut (7:00 PM)
  
Friday, November 9th 
Semifinals - at highest remaining seed following the quarterfinal matches
Match 5: Match 1 winner vs. Match 4 winner ­ (5:00 pm or 7:30 pm)
Match 6: Match 2 winner vs. Match 3 ­ winner (5:00 pm or 7:30 pm)
