Box Score South Burlington, Vt. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team closed out a three-match road trip with its third straight win on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Saint Michael's College Purple Knights, 6-1.
Adelphi (7-2, 6-2 NE10) dropped just two games across two doubles matches to pick up the doubles point, led by
Nicole Kielan and
Samantha Perri's bagel set at No.1.
The pair combined to lose just seven games in four sets in the first two singles spots, as the Brown and Gold also won all five contested singles matches on the afternoon, with the match being played indoors at the EDGE Sports & Fitness club.
Rookie
Ashley Mannetta was the lone Panther to be taken three sets, but the freshman defeated Abby Edelmann by coming from a set down, 1-6, 6-2, 6-0.
