Brookville, N.Y. -- The Adelphi University women's tennis team snapped a two-match skid in its regular season finale on Friday, defeating the Pioneers of LIU Post, 6-3.
The Brown and Gold (13-6) swept doubles en route to the victory, led by an 8-1 win by
Rebecca Fakas and
Karen Serina at top flight singles.
Vanja Savic led the way for Adelphi in singles play, dropping just two games in her completed match at No. 5, 6-2, 6-0 as one of three Panthers to record two wins on the afternoon. Also double winners for Adelphi were
Elizabeth Kallenberg, who defeated Shanice Arthur at No. 2 singles for another point, and
Samantha Perri.
