Stratford, N.J. - The Adelphi University women's bowling team posted another top finish as the FDU New Jersey Jamboree over the weekend, finishing in third place at the three-day event hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The Panthers have finished in the top five at each of their first three tournaments of the year, and in their third tournament of the season, Rebecca Gotterbarn and Katelyn LaRocca again paced the Panthers as individuals.

Gotterbarn posted a traditional average of 215.4 to finish in third place, while LaRocca earned her second straight All-Tournament selection with a fifth-place showing and a 210.8 average.

A 4-1 record on the first day of Baker play on Friday kicked off the Brown and Gold's weekend, with four straight victories over Chestnut Hill, Morgan State, LIU Brooklyn and Caldwell after an opening defeat to Kutztown. Adelphi's run continued to five straight wins with a defeat of Bethune-Cookman, anchored by LaRocca's 240 and Gotterbarn's 202.

Though the Panthers were set back by their next three opponents - the host Knights, Felician and and Sacred Heart, they rebounded with a strong win over Howard, as Gotterbarn rolled a team-high 233. The Howard victory also saw freshman Kimberly Bonar get her first taste of action on the weekend, rolling a 153.

On the final day in the knockout bracket, Adelphi defeated Caldwell, LIU Brooklyn and Monmouth en route to a third-place finish behind champions Sacred Heart and second-place Farleigh Dickinson.
