Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Adelphi University women's tennis team closed out a road trip on Monday afternoon with a match against the Le Moyne College Dolphins that was moved indoors due to inclement weather. The Panthers had no problems with the change of venue, taking a 6-3 match victory to continue their unbeaten run in the Northeast-10 Conference thus far.
Rebecca Fakas led Adelphi (8-0, 7-0 NE-10) in the match, as she dropped just one game in two victories. First, she partnered with
Elena Nastasi to win 8-1 at No. 3 doubles, before winning 6-0, 6-0 against Christina Perry at No. 4 singles. Freshman
Samantha Perri and sophomore
Elizabeth Kallenberg also had strong days, as the duo partnered for a tight 9-7 victory at No. 2 doubles, before Perri rolled to a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles and Kallenberg edged Amica Benoit-Limosani at No. 2, 7-5, 7-5.
