Rindge, N.H. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team continued their weekend trip up north on Saturday, September 13 by picking up their second NE-10 win in 24 hours over the Ravens of Franklin Pierce, 7-2. With the win, the Panthers move to 3-0 and 2-0 in the NE-10 on the season, while the Ravens open 0-1 both overall and in the conference.
The Brown and Gold were sharp from the start, and they did not drop a single game in either of the two doubles matches that were played. Despite again being forced to default at third flight, the Panthers moved into singles play holding a 2-1 match lead. Singles was all Adelphi, as they dropped just six games in nine sets.
Stefani Lineva led the way at top flight, conceding just one game, while
Katarina Barborikova and
Joanna Haich matched that result at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
