Colchester, Vt. - After falling behind 1-0 in the match, the Adelphi University women's tennis team ran off seven straight victories to defeat the Purple Knights of St. Michael's College, 7-2, on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Panthers remain undefeated in Northeast-10 Conference play with one NE-10 tilt remaining, and continue to stand in first place in the NE-10 regular season standings. 

Adelphi (13-2, 11-0 NE-10) dropped the first point of the match when Nicole Kellogg and Kayla Dowd defeated Bianca Bernal and Maria Fernanda Bruzon Gutierrez, 8-0, at No. 3 doubles. Katarina Barborikova and Charlotte Moreau pulled Adelphi level with a 8-2 win at top flight, before Stefani Lineva and Rebecca Fakas won a thrilling tiebreak, 9-8(7-2), at No. 2 doubles to put Adelphi in the lead for good. 

Barborikova led Adelphi into singles play, as the junior defeated Hannah Benoit, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. In the three matches that followed, Moreau and Lineva rcorded two-set wins to bookend a three-set win by Joanna Haich; Haich ralled from a set down to defeat Caroline Martin, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Fakas recorded Adelphi's final point behind a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5. 

The Purple Knights (7-4, 7-4 NE-10) picked up their second behind behind Sulkin's 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Isabella Ramjeet at No. 6 singles.
